    2024 Grand Gala Beneficiaries

Our members give a tremendous amount of thought and consideration in choosing our Beneficiaries. We carry out our mission through providing services and financial gifts to beneficiaries in our local and global communities. We are proud to honor our most recent and past Beneficiaries.

Waymakers – Offers individuals, families and communities the steadiest, surest, safest pathways to promising outcomes.
A University of California, Irvine professor, a few of his students and a Costa Mesa Police Department captain recognized the need to provide diversion counseling for delinquent youth and their families. As pioneers working within local law enforcement agencies, their efforts led to the creation of a new non-profit serving at risk youth in Orange County. Whether redirecting youth offenders, helping sheltered children get back on track, unifying troubled families, resolving community conflicts or empowering victims of violence, Waymakers clears the path so clients can advance beyond crisis.

Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center – A therapeutic riding center for persons with special needs.
Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center, Inc.’s mission is to improve the bodies, minds, spirits, and quality of life of persons with physical and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses through equine-assisted activities and therapies. All age students are accepted, and generally referred by physicians, therapists, and loved ones. Therapy sessions with the horses are individualized and developed and regularly assessed by our professional staff. A few of the disabling conditions our clients deal with include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, paraplegia, developmental and learning disabilities. While horse therapy is fairly new in therapeutic fields, its value is becoming more and more recognized and sought after. As we at the Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding Center track our clients’ progress and watch their joy as they regain a significant range of motion, we are amazed and gratified.
